The Pulse Oximeter Market is expected to be around US$ 4.20 Billion by 2028 at a CAGR of 7.19% in the given forecast period.
Pulse oximeter is a noninvasively device used for monitoring a person’s oxygen fullness. In it is most common application mode, a sensor device is placed on thin part of the patient body, which is usually an earlobe or fingertip in adults and in case of infants it is placed across a foot. The pulse oximeter shows the percentage of blood that is loaded with oxygen. Pulse oximeter exactly measures the percentage of haemoglobin, the protein in blood that carries oxygen. Pulse oximeter is mainly suitable for continuous measurement of blood oxygen saturation, noninvasively. Pulse oximeter can be used in any setting where patient’s oxygenation is not constant such as in operating, emergency and hospital ward, intensive care, recovery, pilots in unpressurized aircraft, patient at high altitude for assessment of any patient’s oxygenation, and to determine whether there is requirement for supplemental oxygen. Factors such as growth in geriatric population, growth in inclination towards home monitoring, upsurge in incidence rate of chronic diseases, such as obesity, cardiovascular disorders, and growth in alertness among patients about advanced pulse oximeters are expected to drive the market. Nevertheless, lack of alertness about these devices in low- and middle-income economies hampers the market development
